This year we had quite a few entrants under the age of 18, one of whom even made it into the top 10! Whilst the story did not come in the top 3, the SFSA committee has decided to award a special prize of R200 to Alexandra Kinmont for Tara Sosarat and the Curse of the Habbarves.
The South African Category had a problem. Although we had 14 entries into the section, we felt that only four of them were South African. The others were general stories that could have been set anywhere, and the South African settings were not integral to the stories.
Other than the winners, only the story Nowhere to Hide by Robin Glenn Harvey was considered.
