One of the inventors of the atomic bomb has manufactured something even more devastating; Ice-Nine, a chemical which will freeze all water on Earth if released.

The inventor has died and the Ice-Nine has been split into three parts by his children. John, or Jonah has to find the three children and destroy the deadly cargo they each carry.

An interesting book, but old fashioned, and the continuing references to the religion of Bokonon, while intriguing at the beginning of the book, becomes more and more irritating.

Slaughterhouse-5 is far superior.
